About Kat Henolson
I started NW Art Installation in May of 2017. I previously worked as a custom art framer. Often, clients would pick up their pieces and then ask what they should do next. I saw that people not only needed help installing their work, but also finding the right place.
I have worked with several art galleries, and was trained to hang art professionally. I enjoy the art of installation and design. Whether I am creating a gallery wall with your family photos, or hanging posters for a restaurant, I will treat your work with care and thoughtfulness.

My process to design your space and install your work begins before our first meeting. I will ask for a list of the work you need installed, as well as the location (stairwell, brick, plaster/drywall). This will help me prepare the materials I need to hang your work.
When I arrive, I immediately begin evaluating the lighting, the furniture, and size of the space. These all affect the placement of your work. A client can create the design alongside me, or I can do it myself. Design is one of the aspects I enjoy the most when beginning a new project.
I provide all of my own tools and hardware. I am familiar with several systems of hooks and anchors to secure your work. I am happy to research new methods when needed.
In addition, I am well versed in art and document framing. I can help evaluate whether any of your work needs new glass, mats, or framing. I want the work that I install for you to last a lifetime.
